We blessed our boy!

We blessed Jett on June 5th which was also mine and Holden's 8th anniversary, so it was a pretty special day for us.  Everything went really well, he looked so adorable in his little blessing outfit!  Holden gave a very beautiful blessing and Jett was awake but amazingly enough didn't make a peep.

Afterwards we went to the park where Jett spit up on about 5 different friends and family members 

(like really spit up... a lot) but that's okay because it was his day, so he could get away with pretty much whatever he wanted.

The last month has been both really fun and really exhausting!  Having Jett has pretty much flipped my world upside-down, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Introducing: Jett Holden Rockwell

Our little Jett was born April 4, 2011, 7 lbs 14 oz, 19 1/2 inches long, and we think he is the cutest little stinker ever!    He is a healthy, happy baby boy and we can't believe how lucky we are to have him.  The hospital had a photographer there who took these pictures the day we were discharged and we were pleasantly surprised with how well they turned out.  Holden is an amazing dad, he is so attentive to everything and just loves his little boy.  And Roxie is handling the change better than we expected, she likes to sniff at him and we have to make sure she doesn't try to give him any kisses, but so far so good.  

Next step is to lose the pregnancy weight!

     So I'm due in about three and a half months, and we are just now getting around to taking pictures of the biggest event of mine and Holden's life.  We are definitely having a boy, and everything is healthy so we really couldn't ask for more. (except maybe a name, we don't know what to call the kid)  The only real downside is that I now weigh more than Holden :(  

     And not just a couple pounds more, I think I've got nearly 10 pounds on him!

My birthday

Yesterday was my 29th birthday, and thanks to Holden it was a really great one.  He told me in the morning to make sure I was ready to go by 3:45, but he wouldn't tell me where we going.  Before we left he had me open my present which was a beautiful diamond necklace!  Then he took me up to Salt Lake to eat at The New Yorker, and then we went to Capitol Theater to see The Nutcracker.  Holden really really hates watching ballet, so this was a pretty big sacrifice on his part (which he reminded me of a couple times) but I loved it, and it turned out to be an amazing birthday.

Halloween 2010

My parent's do a spook alley every Halloween for the grandkids.  It's so fun to see the kids, and most of the adults, dressed up in Halloween costumes.  The kids are usually a little nervous the first time they go through it, and this year as soon as they started to get comfortable Logan (the oldest) decided to hide in the closet and then jump out and scare the kids as they walked through.  Gotta love that kid!

Holden wasn't too happy that I made him wear a costume...but he sure looks handsome!

99% Chance...

We went to the doctor today to hear the heartbeat and he unexpectedly offered to do an ultrasound since we were his last patients of the day.  Holden has wanted a boy so bad that he can't function, so you can imagine our excitement when we were told that we have a 99% chance of getting our boy!

The past seven years

The pictures in the slideshow are just some of the memories that we have shared over the years including our wedding day, our sweet little dog Roxie, the wonderful day the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl, my graduation from dental hygiene school, and the amazing Caribbean cruise we went on with my parents in May.
